Data Exchange Workflows
Data Exchange Process and Workflows Requirements SpecificationVersion 0.1
March 2021
Introduction
This document describes the key components of DISI and the interaction between the different DISI components. The key components enable the secure transmission of messages between the PoS client and the central registries for the MVP, namely the Client Registry and Data Repository.
The objective of the DISI centralized architecture is to reduce and potentially eliminate duplicate HIV Case-based surveillance (CBS) patient records submitted by different Health Facilities or systems in a country. This ensures the overall quality of longitudinal clinical data which further helps HIV case managers to effectively monitor index cases and their progress towards being virally suppressed. Using specialized reporting mechanisms and visualization tools, authorized users will be able to produce case-based surveillance reports.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to describe the data exchange processes and workflows, the bidirectional transactions between the components, and the boundaries of each system and their interaction. In addition, standard messaging formats are included with a recommended standard for the DISI MVP.
