Digital Health Informatics for Leaders
Digital health informatics has enormous potential to improve population health and address some of our biggest health system challenges in low-resource African settings.
This short one-hour session aims to provide executives, leaders, and decision-makers with an understanding of the three core capabilities needed to be an Informatics-Savvy Organization, and an overview of the critical elements needed to ensure successful digital health projects.
The course is based on the latest version of CDCβs Informatics for Leaders training short course, and aims to provide senior leadership within MOH with the foundational knowledge needed to understand:
- What is meant by health informatics
- The current state of public health informatics related to the digital revolution
- How leaders can apply the Informatics-Savvy Organization framework to address information-related challenges :
- Health informatics skills requirements
- An overview of cybersecurity, privacy, and security
Target Audience
This course is aimed at executive and senior-level leadership people with a strong interest in strategizing, planning, designing, developing, and managing digital health projects to achieve better public health outcomes.
